Terms of Service

Last updated August 16, 2026 ยท Pilot-program draft, final language pending counsel review.

1. What PodiumAI is

PodiumAI is an AI-assisted speech and debate practice tool provided to school programs. Students practice speeches and debate rounds, receive AI-generated scores and coaching feedback under their league's rules, and may share results with their coach. By using PodiumAI you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.

2. Accounts

There is no open registration. Schools are onboarded by the operator; coaches are invited by their school; students join only with a temporary code from their coach or are added by the coach directly. Under-13 accounts stay locked until a parent approves. Keep credentials private; you are responsible for activity on your account. Password recovery for students runs through their coach โ€” we never email children.

3. AI feedback is coaching, not truth

Scores, grades, ballots, and feedback are generated by AI against your league's configured rules. They are a practice aid โ€” they can be wrong, they are not a professional evaluation, and they do not predict or guarantee results in real competition. Rules content configured by a school (rulesets, topics, judging philosophy) is that school's responsibility.

4. Acceptable use

Use PodiumAI only for speech and debate practice within your program. Don't attempt to access other users' data, probe or overload the service, manipulate the AI judges, or reverse-engineer the platform. Schools uploading rulebooks confirm they are entitled to use those materials for their program. Accounts that abuse the service can be suspended.

5. Your work stays yours

Students own their speeches and transcripts. You grant PodiumAI only the limited license needed to operate the service โ€” to transcribe, store, score, and display your work to you and to those you share it with. The PodiumAI software, design, and AI-judging system remain the operator's property.

6. Availability & changes

PodiumAI is provided as part of a pilot program, "as is" and "as available." Features may change, and maintenance or provider outages can interrupt the service. We may update these terms; schools are notified of material changes before they take effect.

7. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, and total liability is limited to the amounts paid by the school for the service in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Ending use

A school may end its participation at any time; parents may revoke consent or delete a child's data at any time via their consent link (see the Privacy Policy). The operator may suspend accounts that violate these terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA.

9. Contact

Questions about these terms: contact your school's program administrator, who can reach the operator.
